Fine Art …… etc.

Welcome!

If you don’t know me or my work I’d like to introduce myself.

I have been an artist for over 30 years, a gardener for even longer and have recently become obsessed with wearable fiber art.

Prior to 2020 I sold my artwork through galleries and fine art festivals throughout the southwest. And then came Covid.

Turning to my love of gardening I started a small business devoted to the challenges and rewards of gardening in the high desert.  Selling plants, seeds, cuttings and pods I came to love all of the flotsam and jetsam of the desert. Never turning my back on art I also created beautiful Garden Journals to share the best of both worlds.

As a mixed media artist I have used everything from texture to found objects in my paintings. In the process I collected and incorporated fiber – fabric, threads, beads, yarn.  Lately I have taken a turn from creating art for your walls to creating wearable art.  I have always been a collector (or hoarder) and a re-imaginer. Drawn to the detritus that is often overlooked and discarded I imagine how it can be used in another form. Focusing on upcycling used garments I love to not only create something beautiful from these bits and pieces but to use what would otherwise be tossed.

Take a look and thanks for visiting!

I'd love to hear from you!
